Dosage Forms Available

• The combination of Diclofenac and Serratiopeptidase can be taken orally (tablets and syrup).

Age And Dose Restrictions

• This combination is intended to be used by adults only. It is not recommended for children.

Contraindications 

• This combination is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Diclofenac and Serratiopeptidase. It is also contraindicated in patients with an active or history of recurrent peptic ulcer/haemorrhage.

Medications To Avoid With This Drug 

• Avoid taking antiarrhythmics (digoxin), diuretics, antihypertensive, anticoagulants, other NSAIDs, immunosuppressive medications (methotrexate, cyclosporine and tacrolimus), quinolone antimicrobials, anticonvulsants (phenytoin) and cholesterol-lowering medications (colestipol and cholestyramine). These medications may alter the safety and effectiveness of Diclofenac and Serratiopeptidase.

Overdose And Missed Dose

• Overdose can cause lethargy, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. These symptoms need to be managed as an emergency in a hospital setting. Therefore, strict adherence to the prescribed dose is essential.
• If you miss a dose of Diclofenac and Serratiopeptidase, take it as soon as you remember. But, if the next dose is near, skip the missed dose and resume the regular dosing regime.

Management Of Side Effects

• Take this combination with food to reduce gastrointestinal side effects and continue taking it as prescribed. If side effects worsen or persist, consult your doctor for a possible treatment plan adjustment.

Use In Driving And Operating Machinery

• This combination can make you feel dizzy, drowsy, tired, and have visual disturbances. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do other activities that require mental alertness or coordination until you know how this medication affects you. 

Use In Pregnancy And Lactation

• This combination is not recommended during pregnancy, specifically during the third trimester. Caution is advised in breastfeeding women.

Caution In Other Conditions

• Caution is advised in older adults and in patients with heart conditions, asthma, hypertension, acute porphyria and kidney and liver impairment.

Special Dietary And Lifestyle Recommendation

• Reduce the consumption of processed foods, refined sugars, saturated fats, and foods high in trans fats. These foods can promote inflammation in the body and worsen pain.
• Avoid alcohol consumption, as it may increase the risk of gastrointestinal side effects.
• Excess weight can put a strain on joints and exacerbate pain. Aim to maintain a healthy weight through a balanced diet and regular exercise.
• Maintain a good body posture and body mechanics when performing daily activities. Use proper lifting techniques, maintain good posture while sitting and standing, and avoid repetitive motions that can strain muscles and joints.
