Dosage Forms Available

• Amoxicillin + Cloxacillin + Lactobacillus + Serratiopeptidase can be taken orally as capsules, tablets and as an oral suspension.

Age and Dose Restrictions

• This medication is intended for use in adults and also in children above the age of 12 years.

Contraindications

• Amoxicillin + Cloxacillin + Lactobacillus + Serratiopeptidase is contraindicated in patients with a known allergy to any of its components. It should not be used by patients who have a history of cholestatic jaundice or liver dysfunction associated with previous use of penicillins.

Other Medications to Avoid

• This combination may interact with uricosuric agents (e.g., probenecid), anti-uraemic agents (e.g., allopurinol), oral contraceptives (e.g., desogestrel, ethinylestradiol) and anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin, heparin).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Taking more than the prescribed dose of Amoxicillin + Cloxacillin + Lactobacillus + Serratiopeptidase may worsen side effects, particularly gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea. In severe cases, overdose may also cause electrolyte disturbances, seizures (particularly in patients with kidney impairment), or kidney problems. If you suspect an overdose, seek medical attention immediately.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the one you missed.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience severe side effects or worsening symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• Try taking this medicine with food for gastrointestinal side effects like diarrhoea or nausea.

• Drinking plenty of water can help reduce these side effects as well.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• This medication may cause side effects such as dizziness or drowsiness, affecting your ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. It is advisable to avoid such activities if these side effects are experienced.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• The safety of this medication during pregnancy and lactation has not been established. Therefore, it is advised to consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients with severe renal impairment, as dosage adjustment may be necessary. Patients with a history of allergic reactions to penicillins or cephalosporins should also exercise caution when taking this medication.

Special Dietary and Lifestyle Recommendations

• Ensure a complete course of the medication is taken, even if symptoms improve, to prevent resistance.
