Zincoren Eye/ear Drops 10ml

Zincoren Eye/ear Drops 10ml is used for the treatment of:

• Bacterial conjunctivitis
• Blepharitis
• Superficial bacterial infections of the eye
• External ear infections caused by susceptible organisms
• Ocular irritation associated with bacterial infection of the eye

To use Zincoren Eye/ear Drops 10ml appropriately, follow these steps:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before handling the bottle.
• Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
• Instil 1–2 drops into the affected eye as prescribed.
• Close your eyes gently for 1–2 minutes without blinking excessively.
• For ear use, tilt the head sideways and instil the prescribed number of drops into the ear canal.
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface.
• Replace the cap immediately after use.

Zincoren Eye/ear Drops 10ml are instilled topically into the eye or ear.

Zincoren Eye/ear Drops 10ml contains the following ingredients:

• Boric Acid (1.9%): It acts as a mild antiseptic and buffering agent. It inhibits microbial growth and helps maintain an optimal pH in the ocular or otic environment.
• Chlorbutol (Chlorobutanol) (0.5%): It is an antimicrobial preservative that helps prevent microbial contamination.
• Sodium Chloride (1%): It maintains isotonicity of the solution and helps reduce corneal oedema through osmotic action.
• Sulfacetamide (12%): It is a sulfonamide antibacterial agent that inhibits bacterial dihydropteroate synthase, thereby blocking folic acid synthesis required for bacterial growth and multiplication.
• Zinc Sulphate (0.1%): It acts as an astringent and mild antiseptic, reducing mucous discharge and soothing irritation.

• Store below 25°C in a dry place.
• Protect from direct sunlight.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

• Maintain proper ocular and ear hygiene.
• Avoid touching or rubbing infected areas.
• Avoid sharing towels or personal items.
• Maintain adequate hydration and a balanced diet rich in vitamins A and C to support ocular health.
• Avoid swimming or exposure to contaminated water during active infection.
