Other Medications to Avoid

• Hydrochlorothiazide + Valsartan can interact with diuretics (e.g., chlorthalidone), mood stabilisers (e.g., lithium), heart failure medications (e.g., digoxin), bile acid sequestering agents (e.g., cholestyramine) cholesterol-lowering medication (e.g., colestipol), nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (e.g., ibuprofen, diclofenac), potassium supplements (e.g., potassium chloride, potassium citrate), and potassium-containing salt substitutes.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Taking more than the prescribed dose may cause extreme dizziness or fainting. Seek immediate medical help if you suspect an overdose.

• If you miss a dose of Hydrochlorothiazide + Valsartan, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and usually resolve upon stopping the medication. However, if any severe side effects or worsening of symptoms are noticed, consult your doctor immediately.

• Patients with kidney disease, liver disease, gout, lupus, and diabetes may need to exercise caution when taking Hydrochlorothiazide + Valsartan.
