Age and Dose Restrictions

• It is intended for females above twelve years of age.

Contraindications

• It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Tranexamic Acid + Mefenamic Acid and patients with renal insufficiency, currently having blood clots or disease leading to blood clots, consumption coagulopathy, and a history of convulsions.

Other Medications To Avoid With This Medicine

• Avoid taking other anti-fibrinolytic medicines (aprotinin), thrombolytic medicines (streptokinase), and oral contraceptives (ethinylestradiol). These medications may alter the safety and effectiveness of Tranexamic Acid + Mefenamic Acid.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of Tranexamic Acid + Mefenamic Acid is a medical emergency. Symptoms may include dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, a significant drop in blood pressure (especially when standing), and in severe cases, convulsions. If an overdose is suspected, seek emergency medical care immediately and do not attempt to manage these symptoms at home.
• If you miss a dose of this combination, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for a missed one.

Use In Driving And Operating Machinery

• This combination does not impair the ability to drive or operate machinery.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• This combination is not recommended in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Caution In Other Conditions

• Caution is advised in older women and patients who have had blood in their urine.

• Consume a well-balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
• Incorporate iron-rich foods, such as spinach, lentils, lean red meat, and fortified cereals, to support blood production.
• Follow a low-sodium diet to help maintain optimal blood pressure levels.
• Limit the intake of processed and packaged foods, often high in sodium.
• Engage in regular exercise, such as walking or swimming, to help manage blood pressure.
• Maintain good oral hygiene habits, including regular brushing, flossing, and dental check-ups.
• Avoid taking alcohol with this medication to avoid the risk of side effects.
