Age and Dose Restrictions

• This medicine is meant for adults and children above 6 months of age.

Contraindications

• This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known allergies to chlorpheniramine maleate+phenylephrine and patients with heart disorders, who have been treated with monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors, with peripheral vascular insufficiency, hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, prostate problems, pheochromocytoma.

Medications to Avoid with This Drug

• It might interact with other medications like anti-allergic drugs (such as cetirizine, fluticasone, and diphenhydramine), blood thinners (like aspirin), cough suppressants (such as dextromethorphan), anti-hypertensive drugs (like atorvastatin), anti-asthma medications (such as albuterol), antacids (like pantoprazole), and antidepressants (including isocarboxazid, rasagiline, linezolid, and tranylcypromine).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of this medication may cause ataxia, excitement, tremors, psychosis, hallucinations, and convulsions. If you observe this symptom, inform your doctor and follow the advice accordingly.
• If you forget to take this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. But avoid repeating the dose.
