Age and Dose Restrictions

• This combination of medicines is meant for adults and children aged 12 years and above.

Contraindications

• The use of Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Dextromethorphan + Phenylephrine Hydrochloride is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of its ingredients.

• It is also contraindicated in patients with severe hypertension (high blood pressure) or severe coronary artery disease (a medical condition where the blood vessels supplying the heart muscles are narrowed).

Other Medications to Avoid

• This combination may interact with MAO inhibitors (such as selegiline and rasagiline) and antidepressants (such as fluoxetine and duloxetine).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Taking more than the prescribed dose may cause drowsiness, a rapid heartbeat, hallucinations, and seizures. Seek medical attention immediately if an overdose is suspected.

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.

Management of Side Effects

• For dry mouth, try to keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Dextromethorphan + Phenylephrine Hydrochloride may cause drowsiness or dizziness. If you experience these side effects, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• It is advised to consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, liver or kidney disease, thyroid disorder, and those with difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate should exercise caution while using this medication.

• Try to maintain a balanced diet and regular sleep schedule as a poor diet and lack of sleep can exacerbate some symptoms like fatigue and irritability.
