Dosage Forms Available

• The combination of Aceclofenac + Paracetamol + Chlorzoxazone can be taken orally (tablet).

Age and Dose Restrictions

• This combination is intended to be used by adults only. It is not recommended for children.

Contraindications

• This combination is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to aceclofenac or paracetamol or chlorzoxazone or their combination. It is also contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcers and in patients with a known history of asthma due to aspirin or other NSAIDs. 

Medications to Avoid with This Drug

• Avoid taking antiarrhythmics (digoxin), diuretics, antihypertensive, anticoagulants, other NSAIDs, immunosuppressive medications (methotrexate and cyclosporine), quinolone antimicrobials, antidiabetics, anticonvulsants (phenytoin), prokinetic agents (metoclopramide and domperidone), opioid medications (codeine, dihydrocodeine, and hydrocodone), antipsychotics, anti anxiety medications and cholesterol-lowering medications (colestipol and cholestyramine). These medications may alter the safety and effectiveness of Aceclofenac + Paracetamol + Chlorzoxazone.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of Aceclofenac + Paracetamol + Chlorzoxazone may cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, and gastrointestinal irritation or bleeding. Paracetamol overdose specifically may cause delayed liver damage, which can be serious even if initial symptoms appear mild. These symptoms require urgent medical attention. If you suspect an overdose, go to the nearest hospital immediately. Strict adherence to the prescribed dose is essential.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take two doses at the same time to compensate for the missed one.

Management of Side Effects

• Take this combination with food to reduce gastrointestinal side effects and continue taking it as prescribed. If side effects worsen or persist, consult your doctor for a possible treatment plan adjustment.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• This combination is not recommended during pregnancy, specifically during the third trimester. Caution is advised in breastfeeding women.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Caution is advised in older adults and patients with gastro-intestinal disorders, with a history of gastro ulceration, heart conditions, and kidney and liver impairment.

• Avoid alcohol consumption, as it may increase the risk of adverse side effects.
• Excess weight can put a strain on joints and exacerbate pain. Aim to maintain a healthy weight through a balanced diet and regular exercise.
• Perform gentle stretches to improve flexibility and prevent muscle stiffness. Avoid overstretching, especially if you have an injury.
• You may apply a warm compress or ice pack to affected areas for relief from muscle spasms.
• Choose comfortable, supportive shoes to minimise the impact on joints and muscles.
