Age and Dose Restrictions

• This medicine is meant for adults only of age above 18 years.

Contraindications

• This medicine is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the medication.

• It is not recommended for treatment of type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

Other Medications to Avoid

• Remogliflozin Etabonate + Vildagliptin may interact with digoxin (like lanoxin) and medicines metabolized by CYP3A4 (such as simvastatin).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Taking more than the prescribed dose may cause low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia), with symptoms such as sweating, shakiness, confusion, or dizziness. If you notice these symptoms, consume a fast-acting source of sugar and inform your doctor.

• If you miss a dose of Remogliflozin Etabonate + Vildagliptin, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• For common side effects like nasopharyngitis, ensure to rest and stay hydrated.

• For headaches, try a cool compress on your forehead or at the back of your neck.

• This medication does not generally affect your ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. However, if you experience dizziness or drowsiness after taking this medication, avoid driving or operating machines.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with severe renal impairment should avoid using this medication.

• Caution should also be taken by patients at risk for volume depletion, hypotension and electrolyte imbalances.
