Age and Dose Restrictions

• Difluprednate + Moxifloxacin is intended for use by adults and children aged 18 years and above.

Contraindications

• Difluprednate + Moxifloxacin should not be used by patients with known hypersensitivity to either Difluprednate or Moxifloxacin or any other components of the formulation.

• Additionally, it is contraindicated in patients suffering from viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva, fungal infections of the eye, or mycobacterial ocular infections.

Other Medications to Avoid

• Difluprednate + Moxifloxacin may interact with corticosteroids (such as prednisolone), NSAIDs (like ibuprofen), anticoagulants (such as warfarin), antacids and multivitamins with minerals, and inhibitors of the CYP3A4 enzyme (such as ketoconazole or ritonavir).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• If you accidentally instil extra drops of Difluprednate + Moxifloxacin, rinse your eyes with clean water at room temperature. If any symptoms persist or worsen, inform your doctor.

• If you miss a dose of Difluprednate + Moxifloxacin, instil it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects of this combination are temporary and cease once the medication is discontinued. However, if you experience severe side effects or any of your symptoms worsen, contact your doctor immediately.

• To manage eye irritation or discomfort, avoid rubbing your eyes excessively.

• For temporary blurred vision after administering the drops, wait a few minutes before resuming any activity that necessitates clear vision.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• Difluprednate + Moxifloxacin may cause temporary blurred vision. It is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery until your vision clears.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• It is advised to consult your doctor before using this medication during these periods.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Difluprednate + Moxifloxacin should be used with caution in patients with known conditions of glaucoma and cataracts. Long-term use may lead to elevation of eye pressure and cataract formation.
