• This medicine is generally prescribed for adults. In children, it should be used only on the advice of a doctor and after appropriate medical evaluation.

Contraindications

• This medicine is contraindicated in people with a known allergy to nortriptyline or pregabalin and in patients during the acute recovery period after a recent heart attack. Patients with liver or heart problems should consult their doctor before using this medicine. Breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before using this medicine.

Other Medications To Avoid With This Medicine

• Nortriptyline combined with Pregabalin may interact with various medications, including antidepressants (such as amitriptyline, duloxetine, mirtazapine, fluoxetine, sertraline, citalopram, escitalopram, and bupropion), painkillers (such as codeine, fentanyl, hydrocodone, morphine, oxycodone, tramadol, and acetaminophen), anti-convulsants (such as gabapentin, phenobarbital, phenytoin, clonazepam, and topiramate), anti-anxiety medications (such as diazepam and alprazolam), sedative-hypnotics (such as zolpidem), antihistamines (such as diphenhydramine and cetirizine), muscle relaxants (such as cyclobenzaprine), and antiemetics (such as ondansetron).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of Pregabalin + Nortriptyline may cause symptoms such as excessive drowsiness, confusion, blurred vision, dry mouth, rapid or irregular heartbeat, dizziness, agitation, and difficulty breathing. Nortriptyline overdose in particular can be serious and may affect heart rhythm. If you suspect an overdose, go to the nearest hospital immediately and inform the medical team of the medicines taken. Strict adherence to the prescribed dose is essential.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for the missed one.

• Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• This medication may cause dizziness and sleepiness and can impair your ability to drive or operate machinery.

Caution In Other Conditions

• Patients with kidney or liver disease, diabetes, or epilepsy should use this medicine with caution. Particular caution is required in patients with kidney disease because pregabalin is primarily eliminated from the body through the kidneys, and a dose adjustment may be required when kidney function is reduced.
