Age and dose restrictions

• Etoricoxib + Pregabalin has been studied in adults aged 18 to 65 years for the management of pain associated with the neuropathic component of chronic low back pain. The dose of this combination should be determined by a doctor.

Contraindications

• Patients with known hypersensitivity to Etoricoxib or Pregabalin should not use this medicine.
• Patients with active peptic ulceration or gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding should not take Etoricoxib + Pregabalin. Etoricoxib should also not be used in patients with severe hepatic dysfunction or severe renal impairment with a creatinine clearance below 30 mL/min.
• Etoricoxib should not be used in patients with uncontrolled hypertension (high blood pressure), severe heart failure, established ischaemic heart disease, peripheral arterial disease or cerebrovascular disease.

Other medications to avoid

• Etoricoxib + Pregabalin may interact with Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (such as aspirin and ibuprofen), anticoagulants (such as warfarin), angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (such as enalapril and lisinopril) and diuretics (like furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide).

Overdose and missed dose

• An overdose of Etoricoxib + Pregabalin may result in symptoms such as drowsiness, dizziness, or nausea. If you suspect an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

• If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.

Management of side effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.
