Ebastine is a second-generation antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms affecting the nose, eyes, and skin.
Ebastine is commonly used for:
• Seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever): Relieves sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, and itchy, watery eyes triggered by seasonal pollens such as grass, tree, and weed pollens.
• Perennial allergic rhinitis: Manages year-round nasal allergy symptoms caused by indoor allergens such as house dust mites, pet dander, and mould.
• Allergic conjunctivitis: Eases itching, redness, and watering of the eyes associated with allergen exposure, when occurring alongside rhinitis.
• Chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives): Reduces skin itching and the formation of raised, red wheals (welts) that occur without a clearly identifiable allergen trigger.
• Urticaria (nettle rash) in adults: Provides relief from itching and wheal formation in adults aged 18 and over.
