• This combination is available for oral use in the form of tablets.

Age and Dose Restrictions

• This combination is mainly meant for adults. Use in children and adolescents should be only as advised by the doctor.

Contraindications

• This combination is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to clonazepam, escitalopram, benzodiazepines, or any of the ingredients of this medicine.
• It is also contraindicated in patients with acute narrow-angle glaucoma, severe respiratory insufficiency, sleep apnoea syndrome, known QT prolongation, or concomitant monoamine oxidase inhibitor therapy.

Other Medications to Avoid With This Medicine

• This combination may interact with antidepressants (such as fluoxetine and sertraline), antipsychotics (such as olanzapine and quetiapine), opioid analgesics (such as tramadol and morphine), anticonvulsants (such as valproate and carbamazepine), sleeping medicines (such as zolpidem), and other central nervous system depressants (such as antihistamines or sedatives). It may also interact with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), triptans, lithium, St John’s wort, and blood thinners such as warfarin, which may increase the risk of serotonin syndrome or bleeding.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of this combination may cause severe drowsiness, confusion, breathing difficulty, dizziness, low blood pressure, impaired coordination, rapid heartbeat, tremors, agitation, seizures, loss of consciousness, or symptoms of serotonin syndrome such as fever and muscle stiffness. If you experience these symptoms, inform your doctor immediately and follow their advice.
• If you forget to take this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue the regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose.

Management of Side Effects

• Most side effects are temporary, generally harmless, and resolve with time. However, if you experience severe mood changes, breathing difficulty, suicidal thoughts, or worsening symptoms, consult your doctor immediately.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• This combination may affect your ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. Avoid driving if you feel sleepy, dizzy, or less alert after taking this medicine.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• This combination should be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding only if clearly needed and prescribed by your doctor after assessing the benefits and risks.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Caution is advised in elderly patients and patients with liver disease, kidney disease, epilepsy, breathing disorders, depression, or a history of substance misuse.

• Avoid alcohol and recreational substances, as they may worsen anxiety and increase the side effects of this medicine. Limiting smoking may also support overall mental health.

• Engage in regular physical activity and maintain a balanced diet to support overall mental health.
