Contraindications

• Betamethasone + Fusidic Acid should not be used by individuals who have known hypersensitivity to either betamethasone or fusidic acid.

• If you have viral skin infections like herpes or chickenpox, fungal skin infections, acne, rosacea, or skin tuberculosis, this medicine is contraindicated.

Other Medications to Avoid

• Betamethasone + Fusidic Acid may interact with other corticosteroids such as (hydrocortisone, prednisone), and immunosuppressants such as (abatacept).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Betamethasone + Fusidic Acid is applied to the skin, so an overdose is unlikely with normal use. However, applying too much or using it for longer than prescribed may increase the risk of skin thinning or absorption into the bloodstream. If you accidentally swallow this preparation or notice unusual symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.

• If you miss an application of Betamethasone + Fusidic Acid, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next application, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Do not apply extra to make up for the missed application.

Management of Side Effects

• For dry skin at the site of application, use a fragrance-free, hypoallergenic moisturiser regularly.

• If you experience itching, avoid scratching the area. Keep your nails short and try to distract yourself when you feel the urge to scratch.

• Betamethasone + Fusidic Acid is applied topically and does not affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• It is advised to consult your doctor before using Betamethasone + Fusidic Acid during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
