Dosage Forms Available

• The combination of Aceclofenac + Thiocolchicoside can be taken orally (tablet).

Age and Dose Restrictions

• This combination is intended to be used by children and adults above 16 years of age.

Contraindications

• This combination is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Aceclofenac + Thiocolchicoside. It is also contraindicated in patients with active or a history of recurrent peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding or other bleeding disorders.

Medications to Avoid with This Drug

• Avoid taking antiarrhythmics (digoxin), diuretics, anticoagulants (warfarin), immunosuppressive medications (methotrexate), quinolone antimicrobials, corticosteroids, synthetic steroids (synthetic steroid), antidiabetics and other NSAIDs. These medications may alter the safety and effectiveness of Aceclofenac + Thiocolchicoside.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Overdose can cause headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal irritation, and gastrointestinal bleeding. These symptoms need to be managed as an emergency in a hospital setting. Therefore, strict adherence to the prescribed dose is essential.
• If you miss a dose of this combination, take it as soon as you remember. But, if the next dose is near, skip the missed dose and resume the regular dosing regime.

Management of Side Effects

• Take this combination with food to reduce gastrointestinal side effects and continue taking it as prescribed. If side effects worsen or persist, consult your doctor for a possible treatment plan adjustment.

Use In Driving And Operating Machinery

• This combination can make you feel dizzy. It is not recommended to drive, operate machinery, or do other activities that require mental alertness or coordination after taking this combination. 

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• This combination is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Caution is advised in older adults and patients with peptic ulcers, heart conditions, acute porphyria and kidney and liver impairment.

• Avoid alcohol consumption, as it may increase the risk of adverse side effects.
• Take this combination only for the prescribed duration.
• You may apply a warm compress or ice pack to affected areas to relieve muscle pains.
• Choose comfortable, supportive shoes to minimise the impact on muscles.
