Contraindications

Other Medications to Avoid

• Melatonin may interact with an antidepressant (fluvoxamine), a psoriasis medicine (psoralens), an antacid (cimetidine), a hormone (estrogen), an antibiotic (rifampicin), an anticonvulsant (carbamazepine), sleep aids (midazolam, temazepam, zaleplon, zolpidem, zopiclone), and a blood thinner (warfarin).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Contact your doctor if you take more melatonin than you should. 
• If you forget to take this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. But avoid repeating the dose.

• Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
