Age and Dose Restrictions

• This combination is meant for adults and children above four years of age.

Contraindications

• This medication is contraindicated in patients with known allergies to Fluticasone, Salmeterol, who have a history of severe liver and kidney impairment.

Other Medications to Avoid

• Salmeterol + Fluticasone may interact with fluid retention medications like furosemide, corticosteroids such as budesonide, bronchodilators including vilanterol, formoterol, and albuterol, respiratory medications like ipratropium, and blood pressure medicines such as metoprolol. It is essential to inform your doctor about all medications you are taking to avoid potential interactions.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Overdose of this medication may cause symptoms like blood pressure fluctuations, increased heartbeat, nervousness, headache, tremor, palpitations, muscle cramps, nausea, dizziness, sleep disturbances, metabolic acidosis, hyperglycemia and hypokalemia. If you observe these symptoms, inform your doctor and follow the advice accordingly.
• If you forget to take this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. But avoid repeating the dose.

Management of Side Effects

• Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when you discontinue this combination. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• This combination is unlikely to affect your ability to operate machinery or drive a vehicle. You can safely drive or operate machinery after inhaling this medicine.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• This combination should be taken during pregnancy and lactation cautiously. 

Caution in Other Conditions

• Inform your doctor if you have hyperadrenocorticism, cataracts, glaucoma, hypokalaemia, or any ongoing fungal, bacterial, parasitic, or viral infections, including tuberculosis. These conditions may require special precautions or adjustments to your treatment.

• Avoid using over-the-counter medications, herbal supplements, or vitamin supplements without consulting your doctor or pharmacist while taking Salmeterol + Fluticasone.
