Contraindications

• Chlordiazepoxide is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to chlordiazepoxide or other benzodiazepine medicines. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe breathing problems, sleep apnoea syndrome, severe liver disease, and myasthenia gravis.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of Chlordiazepoxide may cause excessive sleepiness, confusion, slurred speech, poor coordination, breathing difficulty, or unconsciousness. If you observe these symptoms, seek immediate medical attention or contact emergency medical services.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for the next dose. If it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take an extra dose to make up for a missed one.
